The Fargo HDP5000 dual side ID card printer prints high definition single or dual sided ID cards by reverse transfer printing. For badges with multiple uses, such as identification and access control, the Fargo HDP5000 dual sided printer will provide secure, durable ID card printing in with high level security features.

The HDP5000 produces fresh looking ID cards by first printing the card image on an HDP film.  The film is fused to the PVC card by both heat and pressure.  The card result is higher than the dye sublimation process of the majority of ID card printers.  With this process, the card has increased lifespan and is more secure as counterfeiting is difficult. In addition, the printhead does not come into contact with the ribbon or cards, ensuring that it is never damaged in the printing process.

Modules to encode cards, or laminate either single or dual sided cards are available.

LCD panels, built in ethernet capability and cartridge ribbons are all combined in the Fargp HDP5000 to make it one of the most desirable printers on the market.
